Request to receive rates invoices by email

Use this form to request to receive your rates invoice by email instead of post.
To complete this form you will need to know the address of the property or valuation reference number.

Please note that if you receive separate rates invoices or own more than one property, you will need to submit a request for each property individually.

The information you provide is official information and is used to help process your application. The information is held and used in accordance with the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and the Privacy Act 1993. This means that your information may be disclosed to other people who request it in accordance with these Acts. Under the Privacy Act 1993 you have the right to see and correct any personal information that Council may hold about you.

1. Clutha District Council is not responsible for rates invoices that cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or invalid email address.
2. If a rates invoice cannot be delivered by email, then a paper copy with be mailed to the postal address that we hold for you.
3. Please notify Council of any change in email address. It is your responsibility to ensure we hold your correct contact information.
4. Email authorisation may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of Council.
5.This authorisation covers rates invoices and inserts only. Other Council correspondence will continue to be sent to your current postal address. Please ensure this is kept up to date.
6. A rates invoice sent to an email address is treated as received by you no later than 2 days after the date on which it is sent under s136 the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002. However, a notice must not be treated as received if you prove it was not received, other than through a fault on your part.
